Mission

Not only do piano lessons help students learn piano, but they transfer valuable skills to ordinary life. In teaching, Rachel hopes to instill in her students her contagious love of piano, a positive work ethic, expression and aesthetic appreciation, and the ability to share music with others. Whether students’ futures include immense amounts of music or not, learning it now will help them be well-rounded individuals and experience exciting, formative opportunities.

Welcome!

Teaching piano lessons since 2011, Rachel is a graduate student at the University of Minnesota studying music therapy and holds Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Northwestern--St. Paul including General Music with a piano emphasis.

A collegiate member of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Minnesota Music Teachers Association (MMTA), Minneapolis Music Teachers' Forum (MMTF), and St. Paul Piano Teachers Association (SPPTA), Rachel was president of the only MMTA Collegiate Chapter for over a year. Additionally, she served as MMTA Historian for three years and was involved in a plethora of MMTA programs as a student. She enters her own students in the annual Ensemble Festival and MusicLink Playathon, along with empowering them to perform in her own or another teacher's studio recitals.

Rachel welcomes students of diverse abilities and volunteers at church to make music with people who have developmental disabilities.
